My First Trip to Washington DC!
If you follow me on Instagram, then you already know I attended Hope Taylor's Senior Photography Workshop in Fredericksburg, VA this weekend! Eli and I decided to leave a few days early and stay in Washington DC since I had never been! And I'm so glad we did because we had such a good time!!! We didn't take Ellie since this was mostly a work trip... and if you know me, you know how sad I was to leave her! But we were SO busy with how much walking and sight-seeing we crammed into 2 days that it kept my mind from dwelling on that. It was like 98 degrees the whole time ya'll. It was HOT! And we walked almost 20 miles, so I'm pretty sure Ellie would be thanking us for leaving her home, haha.
I think this was one of the most fun trips Eli and I have taken. I'm excited to share the pictures with you guys!
I honestly think my favorite part was the U.S. Botanic Gardens! I love me some lush greenery + flowers! I can't believe they have all of these museums free. We walked in looking for a line to buy a ticket, haha! This is definitely on my must-see list for the next time we go back to DC.
We stopped in the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, and a few other museums. I kind of forgot to take more pictures at those places because there is just so much to look at and SO MANY people! Plus, I like to stop and read all the signs everywhere (nerd alert), so it would have taken days if I had made photo stops, too.
